Why I have been absent lately...

You might have noticed that I haven't posted much lately, or announced any new games...

That is because, while I have some ideas for games, I am just not skilled enough to make any of them.

I have also been really busy with other stuff recently so I've decided that I will stop making games for some time.

Don't worry, I'm not quitting... I am just going to take some time to learn how to make better and polished games.

My first games made in Python were just small tests for myself, which is why they are all deleted now.

My first 4 games made with Unity were made in a rush and extremely unpolished because I was just learning the basics.

Dead basement was my first true project, and I've enjoyed working on it because it was an amazing challenge. About 80% of game-dev related things I know come from making that project. However, the biggest thing it taught me was how difficult it was to polish a game.

Working on Dodger 3 wasn't very enjoyable because there wasn't any challenge to it for me. However, Dodger 3 was an important step because it taught me how to (at least somewhat) polish a game. Unlike my other games, which were an utter chaos to navigate through files and weren't very balanced; Dodger 3's code and files were clean and organized, everything in the game was tested (by me and someone else), everything was possible without cheating the mechanics.

What I've been doing recently is watching game-dev tutorials, but not on coding or graphics, but on how to polish and balance a game. I've also started modelling in Blender, audio editing and will likely start working on some simple game prototypes soon (might upload if I feel like it).

As for content, I might play some games on my YouTube channel.

As always, thank you for playing my games and supporting me!
